How to Install GMapsScout

Takes under 2 minutes. No Chrome Web Store required.

Click the Download button above to save the ZIP to your computer.

Right-click the downloaded ZIP and choose "Extract All". Save the folder somewhere permanent — don't delete it after installing.

In Chrome, type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.

Toggle the "Developer mode" switch in the top-right corner of the Extensions page.

A new "Load unpacked" button appears. Click it and select the extracted GMapsScout folder.

GMapsScout will now appear on your Extensions page. Toggle it on — the icon will appear in Chrome.

Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome, find GMapsScout, and click the pin icon to keep it visible.

Navigate to Google Maps, search for any business type and city (e.g. "plumbers in Austin"), then click the GMapsScout icon to start scraping.
